Research and science station Petnica is a non-profit organization and educational institution located in Serbia. It was founded in 1982. and has since become one of the leading science education and research centers in the country and the region. It is probably, the oldest and the biggest independent non-profit organization for informal science education in South Eastern Europe.
The main mission of Petnica is to promote scientific literacy and education in Serbia, especially among young people. To achieve this, Petnica provides a extensive range of educational programs, workshops, and research opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. These programs cover a variety of topics in science and technology, including physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, computer science, and more.

The Petnica education program
