BINA 2025: Architecture Festival in Belgrade

The Belgrade International Architecture Week (BINA) marks a significant milestone this year—its 20th edition, taking place from April 15 to May 17, 2025. Organized jointly by the Association of Belgrade Architects and the Cultural Centre of Belgrade, the festival’s central theme, "Towards New Architectural Values," reflects the growing need to redefine space and culture in contemporary society—both in Serbia and globally.

At the heart of BINA 2025 is a retrospective of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Association of Serbian Architects (1982–2024). Over more than four decades, this award has spotlighted the most prominent figures in Serbian architecture, shaping professional discourse and inspiring new generations to build the future through innovation, authenticity, and a strong sense of community responsibility.

The official opening was held on April 15 at the Association of Belgrade Architects Hall, featuring the exhibition "20 Years of BINA" and a special program dedicated to the recipients of the UAS award. Beyond Belgrade, the fifth edition of the program "Good Urban Life" is once again being held in Kragujevac, focusing on the concept of cultural landscapes—the intricate relationship between natural surroundings and human creativity. This year, the spotlight is on the revitalization of the “Kragujevac October” Memorial Park.

As always, BINA Walks will guide visitors through some of Belgrade’s architectural landmarks—from the Beograđanka and Sava Center, to the Genex Tower, Palace of Serbia, and the Central Tower at the Old Fairgrounds—opening up dialogue between heritage and the challenges of modern urban life.

In a thematic context grounded in heritage, authenticity, and cultural identity, BINA 2025 also revisits the legacy of one of the most influential architects who left a lasting mark on Serbian architecture—Nikolai Petrovich Krasnov. His contributions can still be felt across many of the country’s institutions he designed. Discover more about his fascinating story here:
