Hidden treasure of the hajduk

Rajko's cave was named after the famous highlander Rajko Vojvoda, who is assumed to have lived in the 19th century. According to legend and oral tradition, he worked as a mechanic during the day, and at night, together with his friend Pop Martin, he robbed Turkish caravans. He hid the treasure right in the cave. Legend has it that Pope Martin, who ran away from the Turks as a child and hated them for that, passed on information to Rajko about ships full of treasure in a bag of walnuts, and Rajko and his bandits would ambush Boljetin and rob caravans, giving part of the treasure to the poor. Although there are different versions of the ending of his adventures, all legends indicate that Rajko's treasure remained hidden in the cave.
