Kapetan Mišin breg

Only a few kilometers above Donji Milanovac, in Eastern Serbia, there is a special village called Kapetan Mišin Breg. It is an ecological ethno complex placed in the very heart of the Djerdap Gorge. Situated on a 173m tall knoll above the Danube, it offers a magnificent view over the Gorge.

How to reach Kapetan Mišin breg?

The compound is around 185km from Belgrade. The whole trip by car is about 3h long. There are a lot of interesting places to visit nearby. Our recommendation is to pay a visit to Golubac fortress and to see Lepenski Vir. All within 20km.

If you are traveling from Belgrade, you should take the E-75 highway. The exit from that you should take is Požarevac. After exiting the highway follow the signs for Srebrno jezero and Golubac. The road is quite good all the way, except for the few “bumpy” parts though. After you pass the Golubac Fortress, the road continues to Donji Milanovac. On the same route, you’ll pass the archeological site Lepenski Vir. Afterward, there’s a turn for Kapetan Mišin breg (after about ten km from Lepenski Vir). There’s a tourist sign for Kapetan Misin breg, so you won’t miss it. The road that leads to the complex ascends from the main road, and you will need only a few minutes to reach it.
