63. Golden glove - Sombor

Last night in Sombor, the 63rd Golden Glove was completed. In the hall of the Soko sports center, Serbia saw new champions. The golden glove was won by the Serbian boxer Vahid Abasov, who was the star of the evening, winning in the final fight of the holder of the Olympic norm, the Algerian Chemsednin Kramov 4: 1.

52 boxers from eight countries were competing in the tournament in the "Soko" hall: Algeria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cuba, Ghana, Lithuania, Morocco, Moldova, Northern Macedonia, Ukraine, and Serbia. Due to the pandemic crisis, the tournament was held without the presence of the audience. The title of the best national team, the 63rd golden glove, went to the selection of Serbia with as many as 10 won medals, two gold, two silver, and six bronze medals. As many as 4 boxers from Serbia reached the ring in the final fights. Unfortunately, injuries caused Serbian boxer Milovac to miss his match of the finals in the category up to 81 kg, that is, our super heavyweight boxer Dušan Maletić.  Their fights were scheduled with the boxer of the boxing club Radnicki, the super-talented Vladimir Mironchikov, that is, with the Algerian Buludinat Chuaib.
