Joy of Europe 2025
Two important events in October will celebrate children’s creativity, friendship, and children’s rights. The largest and oldest manifestation of children’s creativity in Serbia, the 56th International Meeting of European Children “Joy of Europe” 2025, opened took place between the 1st and the 6th of October in Belgrade. After October 6, the celebration of children’s creativity and joy continues during Children’s Week, which will last until October 12.
These events give children the opportunity to show their talents, share the cultures of their countries, and learn about mutual respect and togetherness. Both Children’s Week and Joy of Europe offer children a unique chance to build bridges of friendship through creativity and art, while also reminding everyone of the importance of protecting children’s rights, equality, and social inclusion.
Joy of Europe 2025 in Belgrade
The International Meeting of European Children “Joy of Europe” is the biggest and oldest children’s creativity festival in Serbia. This year it is held for the 56th time, from October 1 to 6 in Belgrade.
The theme of this year’s event is the inspiring slogan:
“Everything is possible if you believe in the impossible.”
The inspiration for the slogan comes from Lewis Carroll’s well-known work Alice in Wonderland, which encourages children to believe in their dreams and not be afraid to create without limits.
The manifestation gathers children aged 7 to 15, who represent their countries through various art forms. The founder and patron of the International Meeting of European Children is the City of Belgrade, while the Belgrade Children’s Cultural Center is the executive producer.
Program of “Joy of Europe” 2025
The event has a rich program, starting with a carnival that runs through the center of Belgrade, a true spectacle, and continuing with the concerts “Meetings of Friendship” at the Belgrade Children’s Cultural Center.
The program includes art contests and exhibitions, and ends with a gala concert broadcast live on national TV RTS.
In addition, the festival organizes ecological activities, fun and recreational programs, and workshops that encourage children to express themselves creatively.
